Privacy Policy

Effective Oct 22, 2026

This policy explains what personal information Skrt Logistics collects, how we use and share it to arrange vehicle transport, how long we keep it, and the privacy rights and choices available to you.

1.Who we are and what this policy covers

Skrt Logistics LLC ("Skrt Logistics," "we," "us" or "our") is a California vehicle transport broker (FMCSA MC552832, USDOT 6320412). We run the Skrt mobile app and a website (goskrtapp.com, where you can also price and book shipments) that connect people and businesses shipping vehicles ("Shippers") with independent licensed motor carriers ("Carriers").

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share and protect personal information when you use our app, website and related services (the "Services"). It applies to Shippers, Carriers and their drivers, and visitors to our website. It also serves as our notice at collection under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act ("CCPA").

This policy is part of our Terms of Service. By using the Services, you acknowledge the practices described here.

Sensitive personal information. We collect the following sensitive personal information:

  • account sign-in information: your phone number and the one-time codes used to sign in (in the app or on our website), and, if you use Sign in with Apple, a token Apple issues that we keep only so we can disconnect your Apple sign-in when you delete your account.

We use this information only as needed to provide the Services, prevent fraud and keep the Services secure, and we do not use it to infer characteristics about you.

Information from others. We also get information from:

  • Carriers, dealerships, auctions or other people who book a shipment involving you (for example, the person receiving a vehicle);
  • our dispatch platform partner, Super Dispatch, which provides Carrier, driver, shipment status, Bill of Lading and inspection information, and route pricing;
  • Apple or Google, if you use them to sign in (your name and email address, or Apple's private relay email if you choose to hide yours);
  • our payment processor; and
  • public sources, such as FMCSA carrier records.

3.How we use information

We use personal information to:

  • Provide the Services: create and secure accounts, verify your phone number, show prices, post shipments, match Shippers with Carriers, schedule pickup and delivery, and show shipment status, Bills of Lading and inspection photos.
  • Process payments: save your payment method, charge the pick up fee and any other fees in our Terms, issue refunds and collect amounts owed.
  • Handle claims and support: document vehicle condition, help resolve damage claims, and answer questions.
  • Screen Carriers: use Carriers verified through our dispatch platform, and confirm their operating authority, insurance and safety information.
  • Communicate with you: send sign-in codes, receipts, booking confirmations, status updates and reminders by text, email and push notification (for example, when a Carrier responds, when your car is picked up or delivered, or when a payment fails), and, with your consent, marketing messages.
  • Improve the Services: analyze how the app and website are used, monitor service quality using ratings, fix bugs and develop new features.
  • Protect people and the Services: detect fraud, secure accounts, and enforce our Terms.
  • Meet legal obligations: keep records required by FMCSA and tax law, and respond to lawful requests.

Lead partners. If you asked for a shipping quote on another company's website, that company may send us what you gave it: your name, phone number, email, vehicle, pickup and delivery ZIP codes, preferred ship date, and the text-message consent you agreed to. When you sign in to Skrt with the same phone number, we show it to you and use it to fill in your shipment only if you choose to; if you decline, we delete it.

We will not use personal information for purposes that are materially different from these without telling you first.

4.How we share information

We share personal information only as needed to run the Services:

  • Between Shippers and Carriers. When you post a shipment, we create the order in Super Dispatch with your shipment details, name and contact information, and Carriers in its network can see the vehicle, route, dates and price. When you book a Carrier, we share the name, phone number, addresses, vehicle details and pickup and delivery instructions it needs to complete the job. Shippers receive the Carrier's company name, driver name and contact details, and shipment status updates.
  • Service providers. We use vendors that may use personal information only to provide services to us:Super Dispatch: dispatch platform, Carrier network, Bills of Lading and route pricing.Stripe: payment processing and emailed receipts. On our website, card details are entered into Stripe's own form and go directly to Stripe.Supabase: cloud hosting, database and account sign-in.Vercel: website hosting.Twilio: text messages for sign-in codes, shipment updates you opt in to and, when you have no email on file, receipts.Amazon Web Services: document storage.PostHog: app and website analytics. PostHog receives your account ID and how you use the app and website, not your name or contact details.Apple and Google: sign-in, if you choose them.Apple Push Notification service: delivering notifications to your device.Apple Maps: address search and maps.OpenFreeMap: the map images on our website's shipment page. Your browser loads them directly from OpenFreeMap, which receives your IP address and the map area shown, not your account or shipment details.A vehicle image provider: vehicle lists and pictures. We send only the vehicle's year, make, model, trim and color, never your personal information.
  • Insurers and claims. We share vehicle, inspection and shipment records with Carriers, insurers and adjusters to handle damage claims.
  • Business customers. If a dealership, auction or other business books a shipment, it receives status and delivery information about that shipment.
  • Legal and safety. We may share information to comply with law, respond to lawful requests from government agencies, enforce our Terms, or protect the rights, property or safety of any person.
  • Business transfers. If Skrt Logistics is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing or sale of assets, personal information may be transferred as part of that deal.
  • With your direction. We share information with others when you ask us to.

Text messages. We don't sell, rent or share your mobile number or your consent to receive texts with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent are never shared with third parties, except the service providers that deliver our texts (such as Twilio). We keep a record of when and where you agreed to texts.

No sale or sharing for advertising. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, as those terms are defined in the CCPA. We do not use it to track you across other companies' apps or websites. We have not done so in the past 12 months, and we have no actual knowledge of selling or sharing information of anyone under 16.

5.Location data, cookies and tracking

Your device's location. The app asks permission before using your device's location. If you allow it, we use your current location once, only to suggest it as a pickup or delivery address. We do not track your location in the background, and denying permission does not affect anything else in the app. You can change this permission at any time in your device settings. Our website does not ask for your device's location; it uses the approximate city our hosting provider (Vercel) estimates from your IP address, only to list street address suggestions near you first. We do not store it.

Shipment status. We do not receive the live GPS location of your vehicle or the Carrier's driver. Shipment progress in the app comes from the Carrier's records in Super Dispatch: when the vehicle is picked up (the signed pickup Bill of Lading), when it is in transit, and when it is delivered (the signed delivery Bill of Lading). The map shows the planned route and the last city reported for your vehicle, which may not be its current position. We keep these status updates, dates and the pickup and delivery details as part of your shipment history.

Notifications. If you allow notifications, your device gives us a push notification token, which we store with your account so we can send shipment updates even when the app is closed. Logging out removes this device's token from your account. You can turn notifications off at any time in your device settings.

Cookies and similar technologies. Our website uses your browser's storage to keep you signed in and to remember a shipment while you enter it; the shipment you're entering is cleared when you close the browser tab. When you start entering a vehicle, the website creates a temporary anonymous session so it can look up vehicles and prices; it holds no personal information and is deleted after 7 days unless you sign in. When you add a card, Stripe's payment form may set cookies to help prevent fraud. To understand how the website is used, it sends PostHog the pages you view and the booking steps you complete, with a random identifier stored in your browser (linked to your account ID once you sign in). It also remembers how you first found the website (the referring site and any campaign tags in the link, such as "utm_source") and saves that with shipments you enter, so we know which links bring customers. It does not record your screen, keystrokes or what you type, and we do not use advertising cookies. You can control cookies and site data through your browser settings; blocking them may affect how the website works. The app does not use cookies; it uses an analytics software development kit (PostHog) to measure how the app is used, as described above.

Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track. We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. Because we do not sell or share personal information, no further action is needed. Our website does not respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals, because there is no common standard for them.

6.Retention and security

How long we keep information. We keep personal information only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes in this policy.

  • While your account is open, we keep your account, vehicle, shipment, payment, claim and support records, and call recordings, for 3 years after your last shipment or account activity, whichever is later.
  • When you delete your account, we delete your profile, saved address, saved payment method (removed from Stripe), vehicles and shipment history right away, disconnect your Apple sign-in if you used it, and remove your devices' notification tokens. If you completed a shipment, federal law (49 C.F.R. Part 371) requires us to keep that shipment's transport and payment records for at least 3 years; we keep them with your name, contact details and addresses removed.
  • Information from lead partners is deleted right away if you decline it, and after 90 days if you don't choose to use it. If you use it, it is kept with your account and deleted with it.
  • We may keep specific records longer when required by law, such as FMCSA or tax recordkeeping rules, or when needed to resolve an open claim or dispute.

We also keep de-identified price-search data (routes, vehicles, schedules and prices, with no name or contact details) to understand where customers want to ship; while your account is open, your searches are linked to it. When we no longer need information, we delete or de-identify it.

Security. We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect personal information, including encryption in transit and access controls. Payment card numbers are handled by our payment processor, Stripe, and we never receive or store full card numbers. No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee the security of your information. Please keep your phone, email and sign-in accounts secure, consider turning on two-factor authentication in the app, and contact us right away if you believe your account has been compromised.

7.Your California privacy rights

If you are a California resident, you have the right to:

  • Know and access: ask what personal information we collected about you, where it came from, why we use it, who we share it with, and get a copy of it.
  • Delete: ask us to delete personal information we collected from you, subject to legal exceptions, such as records we must keep for FMCSA, tax or claims purposes. You can also delete your account yourself in the app (Account → More → Delete Account) or on our website (Your shipments → Delete account), or ask us to delete it.
  • Correct: ask us to correct inaccurate personal information. You can also edit your profile and address in the app.
  • Opt out of sale or sharing: we do not sell or share personal information, but you may still submit this request.
  • Limit use of sensitive personal information: we already use sensitive personal information only for the purposes allowed by the CCPA.
  • Non-discrimination: we will not deny you service, charge you a different price or provide a lower level of service because you exercised your privacy rights.

How to make a request. Email info@goskrtapp.com, call (626) 200-6835, or use Privacy Requests in the app (Account → More → Privacy Requests). We will confirm your request within 10 business days and respond within 45 days. If we need more time, we will tell you why and may take up to 45 more days.

Verification. To protect your information, we will verify your identity before responding, usually by matching information you give us with information in your account, such as your phone number.

Authorized agents. You may use an authorized agent to make a request for you. We may ask the agent for proof of your signed permission and ask you to verify your identity directly with us.

Appeals. If we deny your request, you may ask us to reconsider by replying to our response or emailing info@goskrtapp.com.

8.Other important information

Children. The Services are for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, or from anyone under 18 for an account. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

California "Shine the Light." California residents may ask whether we disclosed personal information to third parties for their own direct marketing in the past year. We do not do this. Requests can be sent to info@goskrtapp.com.

Users outside California. We offer the Services in the United States. If you live in another state with a privacy law, you may have similar rights, and we will honor requests as required by that law. Contact us to make a request.

Links to other sites. The Services may link to websites or apps we do not control. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.

Changes to this policy. We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version with a new effective date, and we will notify you in the app or by email of material changes.
